Select students in the Department of Art at Mississippi State traveled to New York, NY, Washington, D.C., and Birmingham, AL, during the fall 2024 semester.

Brad James Jr. and Donovan Weathers painted a mural in the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ merchandise section of the Starkville Walmart Supercenter.
Junior Âé¶¹´«Ã½ art major Sara C. "SC" Hailey participated in the Artgroove gallery show in New York City last month.
A senior in the Department of Art at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has been accepted into the new Modern Visual Arts Gallery (MVA) in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Led by Assistant Professor Aubrey Pohl, the students utilized their design and creative ideas to create a UV/EB promotional poster.

Visiting Artist and Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Art Alumni Will Bryant ('08) will give a public artist talk on Friday, October 18th at 3pm in Room 2000 in the TK Martin Center for Technology and Disability.
Bryant has been on campus this week painting a custom mural at the TK Martin Center to not only brighten the space but also inspire the community supported within.
The William L. Giles Distinguished Professor Emeritus taught for 36 years at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and was recognized with some of the university’s highest academic, teaching and research honors.
